New photos and footage from the set of Miami Vice ’85 show Michael B. Jordan and John Leguizamo filming scenes that appear to be direct recreations of the original 1984 series pilot. Jordan, starring as detective Ricardo Tubbs, is seen in costume and performing iconic maneuvers reminiscent of the show’s opening moments.
The upcoming film, which stars Austin Butler as Sonny Crockett, is slated for a May 19, 2028, theatrical release. While production is currently underway in New York, the team is expected to head to Miami once hurricane season concludes.
