Patrice Désilets, co-creator of Assassin’s Creed, has officially re-announced the long-abandoned historical action-adventure 1666 Amsterdam. After a turbulent history that saw the project shelved at THQ Montreal, Désilets has successfully reclaimed the rights and is moving forward with his studio, Panache Digital.
Players can dive into the world immediately with a free 30-minute prologue available now on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The full game is currently scheduled for an Early Access launch on PC in 2026, with console ports to follow.
