Shift Up CEO Hyung-tae Kim is addressing player concerns regarding the design of Evie, the new lead for the upcoming sequel Stellar Blade: Blood Rain. Kim confirmed that making Evie younger and smaller than her predecessor was a deliberate choice, intended to showcase a different, tougher personality.
While the sequel continues the franchise’s tradition of striking character designs, Kim insists that once players experience the game, her personality and combat style will make her a “lovable character.” The game is currently in development for potential release across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
