Marvel is reviving its fan-favorite horror franchise with a new series, Marvel Zombies: War Zone, which shifts the focus to street-level heroes like the Punisher, Luke Cage, and Elektra. The story finds Manhattan overrun by a zombie virus, forcing vigilantes to fight for survival against zombified versions of the Avengers.
Written by Tom Waltz and illustrated by Jaime Infante, the series is set to launch on September 2. Readers can head to their local comic shops now to pre-order the opening issue.
