HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series has officially cast Peter Serafinowicz as the mischievous poltergeist, Peeves. The character, a fan-favorite in the books, was notably absent from the film adaptations after being cut from the first movie.
The casting marks a deeper dive into the original source material, with the series spanning eight seasons to allow more room for book-exclusive characters and plotlines. Season 1 is currently scheduled to premiere on HBO this Christmas.
