The University of Silicon Valley is launching a “Max Achievement Scholarship” that rewards students with up to $15,000 per year for proving mastery in high-level gaming. The program targets dedicated players, rewarding the same discipline and problem-solving skills required for academic success.
Students can earn up to $2,500 per term for “Mastery” or $5,000 per term for “Legendary” achievements in titles like Final Fantasy XIV, Old School RuneScape, and Hades. Those playing games not on the school’s list can still apply by providing documentation for achievements with a completion rate of less than 5%.
