Brandon Sanderson has completed the first draft of the long-awaited Mistborn screenplay, but fans should temper their expectations for a quick release. The author confirmed that this is merely the first step in a lengthy development process involving extensive feedback from Apple TV.
While the Mistborn film remains in the early stages, Sanderson is turning his attention back to his prose work, specifically Ghostbloods, the first book of Mistborn Era 3. Meanwhile, his Skyward series is currently in development for a TV adaptation, with no streaming service currently attached.
