Disney’s latest Star Wars entry, The Mandalorian and Grogu, has hit a major wall at the box office, suffering a steep 69% decline in its second weekend. Domestic earnings dropped to $25 million, signaling a sharp cooling of interest after the film’s $102 million opening.

The film has now pulled in $246 million globally but currently sits behind low-budget horror titles at the box office. With a production budget of $165 million, the film is expected to find better traction once it eventually hits Disney+.
