Director Zack Snyder has dropped the first narrative details regarding his upcoming Escape from New York remake. The film will be set in 1997 but told through the perspective of 1981, aiming to capture the original’s unique blend of “kitsch and camp.”
Snyder also hinted that he may have already found his lead to play the iconic Snake Plissken, though he remained tight-lipped on the identity. While Batman v Superman actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has publicly campaigned for a role, it remains to be seen who will step into the shoes of the legendary anti-hero.
