Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame Encore re-release dominated the global box office this weekend, pulling in an impressive $86 million. The surge in ticket sales is largely attributed to new, “critical” footage included in the film that directly links to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
Of the $86 million total, $26 million came from domestic markets with $60 million earned internationally. The re-release keeps the classic 2019 story intact while offering fans a final look at the original MCU legends before the next major crossover hits theaters this December.
