Skepticism over Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Narnia reboot has officially evaporated. The first trailer for The Magician’s Nephew delivers a bold, psychedelic, and vibrant vision that breathes fresh life into the classic franchise, proving it’s far from the “stuffy” adaptations of the past.
By trading strict book-accuracy for a distinct creative vision and a high-energy soundtrack, Gerwig has transformed a project once viewed with hesitation into a must-watch cinematic event. The film is currently slated for an April 2, 2027, release.
