Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen, the creative powerhouses behind Descender, are teaming up once again for an all-new Image Comics series titled Crowbound. The series is described as a dark southern gothic sci-fi story, drawing comparisons to The Road and Pan’s Labyrinth.
Crowbound #1 follows a desperate mother who strikes a bargain with a terrifying “Scarecrow Queen” to save her daughter from a totalitarian regime. The issue is slated for release on September 2, 2026, and is available for pre-order at local comic shops now.
