EA Sports FC 27 is a mixed bag in its early stages. While a refined, intuitive new Tactics system adds much-needed strategic depth, the game is held back by persistent issues with AI behavior and the unnecessary, immersion-breaking inclusion of an open-world hub called The Grounds.
Despite the promise of the improved tactical engine, the experience is currently marred by clunky open-world mechanics, poor voice acting, and performance hiccups in the new hub. The game is set to launch across all major platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2, on September 24, 2026.
