EA Sports UFC 6 succeeds as a celebration of MMA history through its immersive “Hall of Legends” and “The Legacy” career modes, offering some of the best storytelling the series has ever seen. However, the game pulls away from the sport’s reality with the new “Flow State” mechanic and a tedious “Gym” system that feels like an unnecessary grind for superficial cosmetics.
While the combat remains brutal and satisfying, these new features feel out of place in an otherwise polished simulator. Available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the title earns an 8/10 for its narrative depth despite these gameplay missteps.
