Santa Monica Studio is breaking all the rules in God of War Laufey, shifting the spotlight to Kratos’ wife, Faye. Fresh from a State of Play reveal, the game follows Faye as she enters the “Everywhen”—a nightmarish afterlife for gods—and teams up with an unlikely pair: an enchanted ribbon named Rue and a sentient cosmic cube named Phranque.
While Kratos and Atreus remain connected to the story, this entry focuses on Faye’s unique agility and Jotun magic. Players will face off against heavyweights like the Mongolian god of war, Begtse, and the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet in a chaotic world where magic density is amplified a thousandfold.
