Netflix’s long-gestating Gears of War film finally has its first plot details, with official reports confirming the project will serve as an origin story for the iconic Delta Squad. Directed by David Leitch, the film will focus on the ragtag unit’s desperate struggle against the Locust Horde.
While an official release date remains TBA, the film is currently in active script development. Xbox executives have emphasized that the story will prioritize the core themes of brotherhood and teamwork established in the source material, though it remains unclear if lead character Marcus Fenix will be the primary focus.
