Epic Games has released a preview version of its completely rebuilt launcher, boasting performance metrics that significantly outpace its predecessor and Steam. The app, which features a fresh tech stack, is designed for a smaller footprint and faster load times, with the company claiming the library loads 30 times faster than before.

Currently available on Windows and macOS, the update also adds support for Linux, with official Fortnite support for the platform arriving once Easy Anti-Cheat is fully integrated. While this preview is light on features, Epic is focusing on core performance now, with future updates planned to enhance game discovery and social sharing.
