Ubisoft is closing two more development studios, specifically in Winnipeg and Belgrade, as part of a fresh round of cost-cutting measures. These closures, combined with restructuring in the global publishing division and the Barcelona studio, are expected to impact up to 380 employees.

The company continues to downsize significantly, with its total headcount dropping from 20,000 in 2023 to 16,590 earlier this year. These latest cuts follow a string of layoffs and project cancellations throughout 2026, marking a difficult period for the publisher as it attempts to stabilize its business.
