A customer attempting to purchase an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller via OfferUp appears to have accidentally acquired a prototype of the yet-to-be-announced Xbox Elite Series 3. The device, which current owners suspect is a non-functional dev kit, is reportedly non-responsive to standard pairing attempts.
Previous leaks suggest the next-gen peripheral will feature Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and a dedicated switch for cloud-based gaming. An official reveal could arrive as soon as Gamescom later this month.
